Performance review: nC Corrosion Passivator Primer 2-in-1 in Ballast Tanks.
Nordic Chartering applied nC Corrosion Passivator Primer 2-in-1 in the ballast tanks and double bottoms of M.V. Nordic Diana (2019) and M.V. Nordic Erika (2021). These areas, located adjacent to the cargo holds, are particularly prone to mechanical damage during loading and unloading.
After treatment with two coats of the Corrosion Passivator Primer 2-in-1, followed by a conventional ballast tank coating, no corrosion has been observed to date, even where the topcoat has been damaged. This demonstrates that the Corrosion Passivator provides reliable and durable protection for steel surfaces under mechanical stress.
This solution helps extend maintenance intervals and effectively minimizes corrosion in critical ship areas.
