”Please be informed that we continue to use the nC Corrosion Passivator – Primer 2-in-1 on a daily basis and are highly satisfied with the results. The product is user-friendly, economical and demonstrates efficient drying characteristics, which support eective maintenance planning. It forms a durable film that is resistant to abrasion, moisture and corrosion. The passivated surface exhibits good adhesion properties for subsequent primer application, resulting in a robust corrosion protection system. Surfaces treated with the full coating system have shown no visible signs of corrosion to date.
The product has been predominantly applied to the side parts of CH’s hatch covers, hatchrails and trackways, hatch coamings, pipelines (air, FW, fire, hydraulic) and welded seams / joints.
Regarding the nC Corrosion Passivator – Primer WET, we do not yet have sufficient onboard experience with its use due to the specific application requirements and purpose of the product.
It must be applied to a wet surface only, which is not always practical under our present operating conditions, as surface tend to dry quickly in hot weather. Additionally, the product is designed for application preferably over already corroded surfaces, whereas our maintenance plan involves the removal of corrosion and protection of the maintained surface to prevent future degradation.
Kindly find some relevant pictures attached.
We will continue using and monitoring the products and will return with further reports.
Thanks and Kind regards
Capt. BAYRAKOV OLEG”
