Yes, nC Corrosion Passivator Primer 2-in-1 is a direct-to-rust solution and should be painted over for the best results (after 4 to 6 hours at 20°C). Corrosion Passivator 2-in-1 stabilizes the surface by converting rust into pores and binding it to the metal. This provides long-lasting protection and better adhesion of the next layer of coating due to extra roughness of the surface.

nC Corrosion Passivator Fluid reacts quickly with the metal surface. The liquid has an oily/greasy base. The tanks will remain greasy until washed out when in use. It is important to avoid contact with chemicals or soap during the first 24 hours.
More information can be found on the product page.
The tank can be pumped out at a maximum rate of 20 cm per minute. Make sure that the last segment of water with residue is properly discharged according to local regulations. For ships, residue can be discharged to the wastewater tank.

To ensure optimal adhesion of the Corrosion Passivator Fluid to the metal surface, it is important that the water filling rate does not exceed 20 cm per minute. Slowly filling the tank is preferred to ensure that the passivator remains floating on the water.
More information can be found on the product page.
Both freshwater and saltwater can be used when floating the tank with nC Corrosion Passivator Fluid. If both options are available, it is advisable to opt for fresh water, as it creates a less aggressive environment for corrosion.
More information can be found on the product page.
The Fluid should be evenly distributed between the webframes on the bottom of the tanks, peaks, or double bottoms for optimal distribution.
More information can be found on the product page.
When working in confined spaces, it is important to ventilate the areas well. Use appropriate equipment to monitor air quality. If using spraying equipment, ensure proper ventilation with over pressure.

Do I need to completely remove all rust and paint before applying the nC Corrosion Passivator Fluid?
No, sanding, blasting or sanding is not necessary. It is sufficient to remove mud and loose rust and/or paint. Since the Corrosion Passivator Fluid is applied directly over rust, it is not necessary to completely remove all rust and paint. Surfaces with well-adhering coatings remain unaffected.
More information can be found on the product page.
Remove loose rust, loose coating and mud from the surface. Drying with heaters is not required. The steel can be dry or damp before treatment with nC Corrosion Passivator Fluid.
